Important Dates

7th-12th Grades:

  • 12/12 - Semester 2 for Teachers available in Schoology (S2 Schoology Setup Video)

  • 1/3 - Semester 2 adopted Digital Curriculum will be available for Teachers to see the course materials (Note: if you were already teaching using this curriculum in S1 it will continue to be available)

  • 1/6 - Semester 2 for Students and Parent/Guardians available in PowerSchool and Schoology after 4pm

  • 1/6 - Semester 2 adopted Digital Curriculum will be rostered with students

  • 1/9 - Semester 2 adopted Digital Curriculum will be available for Students

  • 1/11- Semester 1 Final Grades Due (PowerSchool PowerTeacher Final Grades Videos)

  • 1/11 - Note: Semester 1 adopted Digital Curriculum Savvas and Ramsey courses will no longer be visible after grades are due on 1/11. Please save grades in PowerSchool.

  • 1/13 - Semester 1 Archived in Schoology (S1 courses are not deleted, videos how-to find and use S1 Archive Schoology Courses for Teachers and Students)

  • No change, but reminder to follow same steps with incomplete grades if not completed by end of Semester 1 Final Grades are Due:

    • Incomplete Grade

    • Grade work and update grades

    • Complete grade change request through your school site process

New Features

Elementary Experience

Schoology is now offering a new experience for elementary students. The new experience displays courses and content in a more simplified and visual format that is engaging and easy to use for young learners.

The Elementary Experience offers the following features:

  • Simpler navigation: Students see a simplified course layout.

  • New course view: Focused on a more visual and engaging experience.

  • Brand new Assignment experience: Students have the ability to draw, record, photograph, annotate, and more to submit their work. The current phase of the Elementary Experience enables students to take a photo, record audio/video, upload a file, type, and submit to the assignment.

How to Enable Elementary Experience for your class

  1. In your course, click on Course Options under the profile class picture

  2. Select Edit Privacy / Course Settings

  3. Under Course View Settings, select Elementary from the Course Theme drop-down menu:

  4. Click Save Changes to confirm

Note: The Elementary theme changes the view of your course for students only.

PowerSchool Attendance in Schoology

Schoology course left side menu click on attendance

You can now take your PowerSchool Attendance within Schoology now!  Click on Attendance on the left side navigation in your course and you will get PowerSchool Attendance that is embedded right within Schoology to take and/or review attendance.  More info

What is Schoology?
