Parking / Traffic Safety
A Few Reminders Regarding Traffic and Student Drivers:
1. When dropping off or picking up students at Beyer please pull your vehicle all the way down the drive. This will allow the long line of traffic behind your vehicle to also pull in to the driveway.
2. For the safety of our faculty and staff, the staff parking lot located on the corner of Sylvan and Palmwood is not to be used for student drop off. Please do not pull into this parking lot to drop off students.
3. Student drivers - please obey all driver safety rules by not speeding in the parking lot. We have had several reports of students driving recklessly in the parking lot – this is very dangerous especially during rainy and foggy days.
4. Students who walk home – we have received several complaints from neighbors around Beyer that trash is being left on their lawns. Please show great Beyer Pride and treat our neighbors with respect.
Student Parking / Permits
Students who wish to utilize the student parking lot may apply for a parking permit onlne or pick up a form from the Student Supervision Office. The applications will be available at the beginning fo the school year. Once you have been issued a parking permit, please remember to hang your permit from the rear view mirror. If you drive another car to school and don’t have your parking permit, please come to the Student Supervision Office to obtain a temporary pass so that you don’t receive a ticket.
Beyer is a closed campus – once students arrive on campus they are to remain on campus (unless checked out of school in the Attendance Office by a parent/guardian) until the end of the school day. The student parking lot is out of bounds during school hours and during the lunch period. Students who violate this policy will receive a warning for the first violation; further violations may result in student discipline consequences.
As a reminder, do not leave valuables in your car.
