Food On Campus
Per Board Policy 4030 (a), students should not bring homemade food to school and share it with other students. Given concerns about food allergies and other restrictions on some student’s diets, food should not be shared. Bringing food onto campus for celebrations is also discouraged for the same reasons stated above. Balloons, large floral bouquets, cupcakes and other items deemed to be disruptive to the academic setting will be held in the Student Supervision Office (D36) until the end of the school day.
Parents who would like to bring lunch for their child ONLY are asked to bring these items to the Main Office. Please do not bring pizzas or other large quantities of food for your child to share with other students. Please do not ask your child to meet you in the student parking lot or on the street as these areas are out of bounds for students during the lunch period. For safety reasons, we require that students stay with the monitored lunch boundaries. Students who do not stay within the lunch boundaries may receive disciplinary consequences.
